What are the common defects of aluminum alloy die-cast parts and what are the solutions?

1. Scratch: Linear scratches occur on the surface of the casting along the mold-opening direction. 

Reasons: Damage to the mold cavity, insufficient ejection angle, and unbalanced ejection. 

Solution measures: Repair the mold, correct the slope, and adjust the push rod. 

2. Bubbles: There are small protrusions, about the size of grains of rice, on the surface of the casting. 

Reason: Insufficient filling time of the pressure chamber, poor exhaust performance, and unremoved gas from the molten material. 

Solution measures: Reduce the diameter of the pressure chamber, add exhaust grooves, and carry out degassing treatment. 

3. Cracks: There are straight or wavy lines on the surface of the casting. 

Reason: Excessive iron content in the alloy, too low mold temperature, and excessive mold holding time.
